Default henchmen or no henchmen

I used to play world of warcraft and questing alone always gather more experience unless it's a group quest. The split exp seems to slow down my leveling, but it does make questing alot faster and I also get exp from the quest. So, which way levels faster? Quest alone or with henchmen?

With heroes/henchmen because quite simply....

you won't succeed without a team.

This is not WoW; this is a team game, so learn to use your allies.

You get the same XP from quests with or without henchies, so no reason to go without (apart from different loot). And GW is supposed to be a team game.

I'll assume you're new to the game.

Go with henchmen, aside from some farming builds there is no soloing viability in any class whatsoever.

The story progression is also balanced in a way that you'll usually be the right level for whichever area you get to, so exp splitting isn't an issue.

It's even less of an issue because the majority of the leveling that gets done is through xp rewards from quests and missions, you'll need a party for those either way.

'Lo Nain, yeah lots of us play some WoW now and again. This is an entirely different play style. Normal level up mode is to take all the henchmen or heroes and henchmen that you are allowed. Get the xp from quests, this is not a grind game; and xp from a quest is the same whether you are alone or with a party.

Much later on you will have a farming build for your class and you can go out alone, but only in certain very select areas of your own level or greater. Or you can go mow down stuff in lower level areas which is sometimes useful for event drops.

In WoW terms, this is like trotting out into Wetlands and finding groups of 5 to 8 monsters waiting for you, all of them two to four to eight levels higher and often with a healer and some damage casters. In WoW you would need a raid group. So GW essentially provides you with just that for normal play.

Maxing your level is easy, and happens when it should if you play the game. Unlock games where level is equivalent to power, level in GW doesn't mean THAT much. In fact, most people will tell you the game doesn't start until you reach level 20, everything before that is training.

Take the hench and yuo get less XP per kill, but the game is easier and things go faster. Eventually you will have more XP than you have a use for, so don't worry much about gaining XP.
